Privacy notice – prototype user testing

The Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF) is conducting user testing of a prototype Digital Library to understand how people might interact with a potential AI-enabled service and to help improve its design.

This prototype is for research purposes only and is not a live service. You do not need an account to use it, and we do not ask for any personal data. This prototype is provided for testing and research purposes only. The responses generated by the AI system may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional or regulatory advice.

What data we collect

When you interact with the prototype, we collect and store information generated during your session, including:

  • messages you enter into the chat interface
  • responses generated by the AI system
  • information entered into form fields within the prototype

Technical information (such as IP address or browser type) may also be processed automatically as part of operating the prototype.

This tool helps us learn how people might use a tool like this.

Why we collect conversation data

We use query data to identify errors, failures, or harmful outputs, understand how the tool is used and how it can be improved, and support safe and reliable operation. AI conversations may be reviewed by authorised members of the research team for these purposes. The information collected will not be used to train the AI system.

What you should not include

Please do not include personal, sensitive, or confidential information, such as names, contact details, or case-specific details about people or organisations. If such information is entered, it may be stored as part of the conversation record. If you delete a query, the questions and responses from that query and any stored query data linked to it will NOT be deleted.

Data retention

Data will be retained for 6 months after the testing period is concluded. After this period, we will delete it.
